About a week ago, my good friend Chris K. a 25 year old Iraq War Veteran came home to the states. I have talked to him several times and been able to catch up on a lot of things.

Whenever I talk to him, I can't help but think about the friends and families of soldiers who are not as fortunate as I am, to be able to pick up the phone or take a short trip to see or talk to their soldier who they miss. Never again will I take for granted being able to just pick up the phone and talk to a friend. At the end of the day, Chris came home, but so many of our men and women are not that lucky. Still to this day, my heart stops whenever I hear on the news that a local soldier has died, definately something I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy.

It is transparant that the US Government has not done what should have been done to protect our soldiers, or even give them the basic essentials that all humans should have. Now that we will be having a change in Congress, we need to do what we can to ensure that our soldiers are taken care of, the way they should be, with the best medical care, mental health care, equipment, etc. We should stop at nothing less than the best for our soldiers.

It sounds corny, but especially with the holidays coming up we need to keep in our thoughts all of the men and women in all branches of our armed forces, who are going through hell to keep us safe at home. Whether you agree with the war or not, war is political, but the combat, the combat is where our soldiers are doing extraordinary things for their country and us, the citizens.

If you have a freind or family member who is a soldier, give them a hug and thank them for everything they have done for freedom.

I really have a problem with this story. 1st of all the guy that was featured was what, 19? In my opinion he has no credibility to do this story. The guy is going to smoke again at some point, and may already be doing so.

Furthermore, if you are spending $400 a week on weed, then you have to much disposable income, and need a shrink. No one smokes $1,600 a month on weed alone. Think about it..

Stories like this make me laugh, I equate these studies and stories to the old day "Reefer Madness" movie, nothing but propaganda and scare tactics.

The best thing though is that any "stoned" person watching it is cracking up at this story and its propoganda like details.

In no way was this a bad story by the good folks at FOX, they were just reporting the story, but with all the ailments and fatal diseases out there, dont you think scientists would be doing a better service if they were doing more research on, oh, I dont know, AIDS maybe, maybe cancer or alzheimers.

Let's get our priorities straight and still remember, until alcohol is criminalized dont say BLEEP about someone smoking some weed. Alcohol kills, weed does not (and dont listen to those commercials with the one guy shooting his friend with a shotgun, and the other with the kids hitting the girl on the bike at the fast food drive thru, just more propaganda)

Some of you may have seen this on different channels, its something that CBS2 posted last week about the school Superintendent, Richard Mitchell and the video he posted.

Even though I despise any Michael Moore antics, I have to say that this was one of the funniest videos I have ever seen. Please leave this poor guy alone, working in education is absolutely horrillbille, whether it is public K-12 or higher education, this was a simple way for him to make people laugh. He might have made a poor decision in posting it online, but still its funny and should be left at that.

Furthermore, I believe that he will now be railroaded because he is gay. Gay or not though it was funny and he should not resign.
