The year is 1908.
One hundred years ago.
What a difference a century makes!
Here are some statistics for the Year 1908 :

The average life expectancy was 47 years.

Only 14 percent of the homes had a bathtub.

Only 8 percent of the homes had a telephone.

There were only 8,000 cars and only 144 miles Of paved roads.

The maximum speed limit in most cities was 10 mph.

The tallest structure in the world was the Eiffel Tower!

The average wage in 1908 was 22 cents per hour.

The average worker made between $200 and $400 per year .

A competent accountant could expect to earn $2000 per year,
A dentist $2,500 per year, a veterinarian between $1,500 and $4,000 per year, and a mechanical engineer about $5,000 per year.

More than 95 percent of all births took place at home.

Ninety percent of all doctors had no college education.
Instead, they attended so-called medical schools, many of which were condemned in the press AND the government as 'substandard. '

Sugar cost four cents a pound.

Eggs were fourteen cents a dozen.

Coffee was fifteen cents a pound.

Most women only washed their hair once a month, and used
Borax or egg yolks for shampoo.
Canada passed a law that prohibited poor people from
Entering into their country for any reason.

Five leading causes of death were:
1. Pneumonia and influenza
2. Tuberculosis
3. Diarrhea
4. Heart disease
5. Stroke

The American flag had 45 stars.

The population of Las Vegas , Nevada, was only 30!!!!

Crossword puzzles, canned beer, and ice tea
Hadn't been invented yet.

There was no Mother's Day or Father's Day.

Two out of every 10 adults couldn't read or write.
Only 6 percent of all Americans had graduated from high school.

Marijuana, heroin, and morphine were all available over the counter at the local corner drugstores. Back then pharmacists said, 'Heroin clears the complexion, gives buoyancy to the mind,regulates the stomach and bowels, and is, in fact, a perfect guardian of health.' ( Shocking? DUH! )

Eighteen percent of households had at least

There were about 230 reported murders in the ENTIRE U.S.A.

IT STAGGERS THE MIND!!!

You've all seen the postings of a one sided blogger named LONGSHOT who insists that she doesn't go out to other blogger's posts and reply to what they create, yet you've often seen her commenting on many of them.

We're not sure if this blogger has any validity, but she is determined to rule her little roost with a steel hand, deleting all those replies which goes against what she believes is wrong or right in the world. At one point, she blasts the Democratic Presidential Candidate NOBAMA with a sick venegance on her usual long winded posts, but then comes back after the election to praise him with generous acolyates. She has anointed her Messiah.

We beg to differ on many of her posts, and that aggrevates the living SNOT out of this person, so she has taken it upon herself to make us go away. She doesn't comprehend that hundreds, if not 5 or 6 that read her blogs, has already seen the replies of many of us by the time she scrolls through and cleans her blogs.

"HA"...take that you bat-like denizen spawn of Satan himself.

We wanted to insure she had the right style of Thanksgiving, so we posted a blog wishing her the best when getting the "BIRD" from us. But we wanted to sit down and show you what LONGSNOT is really all about.

So here is a short synopsis of what we think it is a daily occurance in her small, but private cave.

1. Her picture.

2. Her favorite drink to calm her down while blogging but yet another one of her traditonal moronic threads.

A mindless stupor.

3. All her values, beliefs, and idealisms can usually be associated to what is found in the cow pasture, which antiquates to this.

BULL CRAPPOLA

4. Her family.

PA, MA (Pa's sister Em), Mule Clarence, and 5 of her brothers-sister (well, they're all cousins).

5. LONGSNOT and her brother Bubba Joe celebrating the birth of Christ in the traditional LONGSNOT family way.

And last but not least, we could be wrong of what we envision LONGSNOT to be. So we searched high and low, and found this old family photo of LONGSNOT's in one of her earlier high school yearbooks. It may be a bit graffic to some of our younger viewers, so we're asking mothers and fathers to take some precautions before allowing your children to view this picture. It has been documented that it can cause blindness on weaker children, children with leprosy, and children that are related to her.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone from the Midevil's as we once again find ourselves thankful on this November 2008 occassions. Thankful for good friends on this Fox blog site. (in a non-rainbow sort of way)

And for LONGSNOT, since we've seen her demonstrate her Love and Dedication to a Republican President Bush, we thought it would be great if we had him offer her a 2nd THANKSGIVING. This is for you LONGSNOT, and you alone.

As reported on Minneapolis Fox9 news, a Somali teen named Saaid Bashir Ali shown below

has been charged with two counts of first degree aiding and abetting aggravated robbery for the Nov. 16 robberies of two women in Dinkytown.

According to the criminal complaint, one victim was followed when she got off a bus, and forced at gunpoint into the park. She was robbed of her money and property and one of the men attempted to sexually assault her.

Later that same night, Police say Ali and his teenage accomplices targeted another young woman leaving the light rail station at Lake Street. She was followed for a few blocks, then was sexually assaulted by one of the males at gunpoint. They took her cell phone, laptop, and credit cards.

Surveillance video caught the suspects using her credit cards 20 minutes later. Police ran the license plates, leading them to Ali.

One of the suspects took the victim into a part of the park not visible by the sidewalk, and forced her to her knees, telling her to "suck his dick."

But the suspect was distracted, and the woman was able to grab the gun with one hand and the penis with the other and run away.

............(now get this part, for we're not sure if she had one in each hand and was running down the street or if she dropped both weapons shortly thereafter. Help us here, Fox9. Was it a detachable penis?)

Fox9 has just previously reported that young Somali men have been disappearing from the streets of Minneapolis to return to Somali to fight a Holy War.

If they continue in this recent crime waves, perhaps they should ALL RETURN to Somali to fight their own battles, and not continue to create wars here with their criminal activity.
