This issue is something that has never been properly defined. This seems like a very cut and dry issue, but it has over the years been given more power than it was origianaly meant for. Everything from silent moments in schools to a high school student saying a prayer in public for the high school football game has become riddiculus. The Separation between church and state is simple, it means the church cannot tell  the government how to govern the people and the government cannot tell the church how to teach or minister to their parishoners. This didn't mean changing the pledge of allegiance and schools teaching creation and evolution in schools. Everyone knows that both creation and evolution are both religions and therefore cancel each other out. Creation is bible religion and evolution is science religion. We take them both on faith that they are telling us the truth or can explain how things started.  As for the country this nation was founded on the freedom of religion and the right to own our own property, and not to be oppressed by the rich land owners and work for them. This issue has taken a front seat with alot of people because we have people that really don't care about individualism and the right to express themselves.  If we allow this to continue we will loose our history and our children will never know what our original forefathers came here and faught for their right to choose what to do and say and beleive in.
