Do we (the people) really NEED this DTV
transition?
 
I DOUBT IT!
 
I believe there is NO reason the
government needed to get involved with how we watch our tv sets. This is being
done to fatten the pockets of politicians and "officials".
 
In order for this to happen, someone had to pay for it
(the technology, equipment, etc) and instead of making it available for nothing,
a fee is passed onto the American consumer.
 
I miss the old days...rabbit ears, free tv and Big Brother
staying out of my home!

Did anyone - besides me - notice that ALL of the candidtaes voted using the paper ballots?

I was noticing as they showed each person going to vote, that they had those HUGE paper ballots in hand. Not one of them went to the electronic ballot boxes.

Don't you think that if they want the peopel to use them - THEY SHOULD DO SO FIRST???

Yes, Matt is an attractive man, but I certainly don'y think he's the "sexiest".

Born and raised in Illinois (Chicago), I have seen muuuuuuch sexier.

We are fast approaching the time our ancestors fought, bled and died for...how many of you intend to vote?

Many complain that the government isn't listening to the "voice of the people". I ask you: How can they hear what is NOT spoken?"

Get out and vote in November, even if you don't like your choices...VOTE! It is the one time you can have your say.

Make sure if you are 18 years of age or older by election day...make sure you are registered and go vote on Election Day. It will help shape the future...for OUR children.

I am a Black woman who disagrees with the idea of attempting to repay me for something I did not incur.

I was not ever a slave as my long-since deceased ancestors were, so how can anyone try to give me a monetary "bandaid" on a wound I never had.

Black people of America (and the world) - WAKE UP! NO ONE CAN CAN REPAY YOU FOR SOMETHING YOU DID NOT EXPERIENCE!
Yes, what happened to our ancestors was an atrocity to the human existence. I am not denying that, but I am refuting anyone's effort to gain financially what they do not deserve.

How can anyone give me any amount of money to "make up for (for lack of the correct wording) what happened to a member of my family I never knew? yOU CANNOT. That would be like I hit your grandparents grandparents grandparents and you want to get paid for THEIR suffereing - a suffereing You did not experience.

LET IT GO!

If you truly want to get proper "reparations"....teach your children about what happened during slavery, the civil rights movement, etc. Most teens today do not know what happened.

If you ask a(Black)teen about Rosa Parks or Martin Luther King, they get a blank look on their faces. That's a travesty to the struggles we as a people have gone through to get where we are today, and they are totally unaware and uneducated in this.

DON'T BLAME THE SCHOOLS - the job lies with you as well. (Read the book of Deuteronomy Chapter 6, verses 7 - 25)..It is your job to teach them the history not taught in schools, not how to get paid for something you never bought...
