I ONLY HAVE TWO THINGS I HAVE TO DO IN THIS WORLD, AND THEY ARE TO BE A WHITE GUY AND TO DIE, EVERYTHING ELSE IS VOLUNTARY. www.burnside-forever.com
It goes without saying that millions of people are praying for Jennifer Hudson and her immediate and extended families through these murders. I was born and raised in The Englewood community and share with all residents the most high profile crime in many of our lifetimes.
There are many of us who have been through domestic and child custody challenges and can only Thank God it did not result in life threatening challenges to us our families or our children. In this Hudson case we must pray for those individuals who have to make some significant and life changing decisions to bring this current Hudson case to some closure.
As Julia Hudson, Jennifer's sister and mother of the missing child stated, "she has already experienced the worst with the deaths of her mother and brother, and the only highlight she can experience now is the safe return of her son." If the child was an eyewitness to the murders then there is the challenge of the captor facing the challenge of immediate arrest maybe the rest of their lives in jail upon the child's release, so there must be prayer for the captor to think beyond their selfish concerns and should not consider harming that child as a means of their escape from justice.
There is the hurtful challenges to the family of the step-father who may have to accept that he may have done something fatal in his lost of emotions in the alleged domestic dispute. Watching one channel's news coverage you see the suspects mother and family saying that he would never have the capacity to commit murder, yet he just served served several years for attempted murder. Then switch to another channel and see one of the Hudson neighbors who said he personally heard and witnessed on more than one occasion, the current suspect telling the child mother that he would in fact kidnap her son if she not treat him better.
If the stepfather did not take the missing child, then we are now looking at even more participants involved in this most tragic affair. With all these issues STILL in front of Jennifer Hudson and family, we still have to get through the planning of a two funerals and it does not help with so many unresolved issues that will surely bring more pain and suffering to an already horrific affair.
This Hudson family tragedy has touched people from all elements from our society, and what an interesting and heartfelt site to see many people who the community would called negative elements openly and publicly put their street reputations on the line in asking that members of the alleged negative element organize their peers in helping do various neighborhood searches for the missing 7 year old.
This Hudson family tragedy will generate more questions by the day and we must remain prayerful for just human natured responses and reactions won't bring this matter to any kind of closure. The only source that we MUST continue to seek through these upcoming days are God, for only God can see us through these most tragic days of our lives. Only the power of God can see us through these most difficult times. As Jennifer Hudson and family face the challenges of healing, lets lift her, her immediate and extended family and us all up in prayer.
Various levels of law enforcement will do what they have to do in this case, and God has to do only what he can do to all of us who have been impacted by this tragedy, in the Englewood community and to millions across the world. It's the almighty and eternal God in whose hands all of our lives rest.

Hey I would like to congradulate Dr. Bryan S. Allen and "The Great Congregation" Greater Bible Way Apostolic Temple for making it to the regionals in The How Sweet The Sounds contest.
I went to go see Tropic Thunder, it was halarious i would encourage anyone to go see it at he movies. there are still lots of movies recently relased i need to go see but i have been broke. i saw the star wars clone wars movies, and i was thourougly disappointed. the animatin sucked the story line was single dimetional, there was lots of violoence and lightsaber fights but i was not impressed. ( weeks later cartoon network has louanched a star wars and th emovie makes more sense, i did not hear about this series till.
umm....dude jeffcoat has got the hots for chambers. i can see it on the screen. jeffcoat is hot, but sometimes she can seem very shady and unsincire but no where near as shady and insincere as padilla.
i am tired of the political junk on tv. its alll rigged. poor barack, he will win the popular vote, but they will not allow him to take the electoral. i hope the world is not overly disappointed. The people will cry out, " what is democracy?" the government will reply "you had a girl and a black running, and a female vice,,,if thats not democracy, what it?" people will say "oh yeah thats true, what else is on?" we have short momories, only yesterday was gore robbed of his win, and we can scarcely recalle it. but i diverge, such issues belong in the politics section of the blogosphere. i just hope it doesnt effect my tv time.
on the subject of tv, i wanted to take this opportunity to remind everyone of the beleavability of television. tv caqn be counted on to reveal all truth, under the one condition that we understand all it says is a lie. simlply put flip and switch. e.i. "iraq is stable...." translation "iraq is not stable.,..."
i wish i had a better body, which is to say that i wish i had a six pack and a low body fat percentage, television teaches us that these are prerequisite, essential to happiness, requied so that i may get all the hottest chicks, a hero is not a hero unsell hes as shredded as rambo part II. i understand, i will be more physically fit.
television makes me hungry, i see a minimum of 5 mcdonalds commercials a day, thats on a slow day. i know that i am satified, full, after one mcchicken and a small fries, but i always always get two mcchikens. i am trying to fast, limitting my caloric intake, but every where i turn especially when i turn towards my television screen i am reminded of the fatty greassy goodness, awaiting me at a low price less then one and a half minute from my house, no need to heat, cook, only eat.
i work at a doughnut icecream shop
jeffcoat said "losing wieght is simple, moderation and exercise" i wanted to reach throught the television and sla..... ........well, jeffcoat try telling that to millions trying to deperately and or a long time to lose wieght but still they reach no rsults, its sooooo simple isn't it, little miss size 2,.....not!
i wrote this a long time ago and then saved it hoping that i would get back to it withn a day or two, but a very long month has gone by and i will post this a biging a nother one.
long live bob saget. long live fox news chicago. long live the people.
Leadville is far from perfect. The air is clean, the people are nice, and it's economy is growing but, the roads need work. 24 just outside of Leadville has a section that is torn up and Mt. View Dr. has a smaller section that need work. These sections require a person to slow down and drive safe, but from what I read in the Chronicle, these roads have been like this for some time and people complain.
A main feature in the roadways are dainage chanels that are about 8 inches deep and run across the road. They are placed about every intersection to allow snow melt and rain water to runoff down hill and away from the homes. The are required but are a hazard. The other thing I have noticed that I am going to have to learn to navigate are the hills. Some hills are steep and straight, others are steep and sloped. I can imagine trying to stop and drifting off the road when it's icy.
I took my high quality raft out on Twin Lakes last week. I was basically rowing in circles since I was unable to row at an even pace. I made it out into the middle and back to the boat ramp and I guess that's all that matters.
I need to get to walmart, but that's 70 miles round trip....
Thanks for reading. Come see this place, it's beautiful!
i think the fox chat room is still up you have to click on the yellow tab, i have not been able to go on it, but i think that may just be me, i went in there the other day and they were chatting it up. i think i still works , i htink you have to click on the tab. are you insunuating that i had anything to do with the reformatting that goes on over there. ...know this, i stand for truth, justice, peace, and loyalty, unless any of those stand agaist me. i resent the stone-casting.
i saw "pineapple express" it was really funny. step brothers was also really funny, both were probely equally funny, but if you take the weed out of pine ex. it would be really sucky. iumm... oh i also saw "the x files, i want to beleave" . i think that it was grossly underated., ive never been i huge fan of the shaow, truthishly, i never really watched it cause they scared me. but the movie touched upon countless social and moral issues, contriversial ,and thought and word provoking. i liked it well enought to have not regretted paying the $4.50 for the movie and the $8.75 for a small popcorn and an icee, free refills unlimited on both.
the reason that there is never anything on tv is b/c televeision execs (more importantly, the secret cult that runs all televison) hold negotiations with one another trying to compete not only for the peak time slots but perhaps lesser view slots (sluts) with impoortant shows, ( shows essential to the networks livelyhood, longevity). Where one will trade the dance show evening at a slow night that they play boring movies friday or a rerun of an umnpopulart series., their associate on another network will not interfere with its momentum.,interfere with the budding success of the only show currently generating any viewwers on fox.
we wacht what they want us to watch, rather then sit throught a rerun, well wacht whatever channel has the current show du 'jour, the show that makes us feel that even though we are at home fusing into our couches, by staring at the tv and with a little faith, we might if even for a fleeting instant feel like we are connected to the rest of the human population, aleaving even if for that moment the cold and lonely overbearring weight of solitude.
im glad to see mark salpelsa leaving fox news chicago, he come off as a racist to me.
we need to see more of kelly kraft, someone contact holly or heff.
the olympics? i thought we were boycotting them., those chinesse girls look like their nine. litterally 9. and its not like the usa team has an all mid 30ies cast either. i was watching the lympics the yesterday and i felt like i was wachting a bloopers reel. modern athletica is really weak, have they always been like this? every one kept falling, and slipping, everyone. in the gynastics that is, parrallel bars, the rings, ect. i caught the metal ceramonies, where china got the gold female gynastics, i swear i thought i was about to withness a catfight unfold beofre my eyes live, and across satalite. meaning the three teams were trying to outshow each other, and vie for the limelight, you kn ow what i mean? and why do they have to wear such skimy outfits, jesus, they are pratically naked, naked, why cant they wear like something thats not so skimpy, i mean sometnes its like they are stripshows and bulesque and such. i suppose skimpy suits can seem as a huge leap from the prior naked option of our ancestoral olypian.
ill finish wil this.....i hate carlos mencia. he is a loser, and a tool, he deserves to die, or atleast not be on television. i loath him. and im sure im not the only one. not only do i not laugh at his comedy, i seriously think that hes a total and complete moron.
oh quick post. script. someone once told me ""we should not hate" i ask is that posible?
qoute of the month " if there is a way i will find it, if there isn't i will create it." -annonimus.
scrtipture of the day "in the beginnning God created the heavens and the earth, and the earth was w/o form, void, darkness coverned the surface of the planet" Genesis 1:1-2
Television is such a disappointment for me. I just can't find anything much to entertain or interest me. Sit-coms seem to be the worst. Perhaps they always were: mindless entertainment. They take us away from reality.
Maybe I'm just getting old. That's what my kids tell me anyway! But even when I was younger (in my twenties and thirties) I was not impressed with popular tv shows. The only time I really enjoyed watching television was when I was a kid: Creature Features, Family Affair, My Three Sons, American Bandstand, Night Gallery, Laugh-In, The Smothers Brothers, and I'm sure there were many more that I liked - but as a kid.
Today I am too skeptical to give much credit to CNN, or other news programs, but watch them just to hear current events, always questioning what the REAL story is. I enjoy a few game shows (Don't Forget the Lyrics, Wheel of Fortune, Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader); occasionally, I watch CSI because the forensic information is interesting. And I was truly entertained by Nip/Tuck. Daytime tv? Not too much, although I occasionally watch The View and I like it a lot. But that's about it. There is NO show that I just can't miss (although when the kids were small, I was a big All My Children Fan and watched daily for many, many years).
So with all the cable stations now available - at prices I am unwilling to pay - I find myself channel-surfing through satellite's basic line-up and saying to myself, "Boy I sure do pay a lot of money for a bunch of NOTHING!" Personally, I wish cable/satellite tv was offered ala carte. Tell us how many stations we can have for X amount of dollars per month, but let the CONSUMER pick those channels. I personally don't need five or six sports channels. I could do without MTV completely. Nor do I need any Spanish channels. Every month I swear I'm gonna call to cancel my subscription and have the satellite company come and get their equipment. But then I wouldn't be able to channel surf! Go figure!
Thank God for the many nameless people who donated their spare change to Bernie Mac all those times he performed on popular CTA Transit stops, for look how far that small investment took him. Bernie Mac and I grew up in the Englewood community and attended the same Chicago Vocational High School (CVS) and we briefly worked in comedy promotions together. I remember meeting with Bernie at the old Godfather II nightclub on East 87th Street trying to negotiate his appearance at the old Comedy Act Theater in Chicago that I was a partner in that used the old Sauers Restaurant on 23rd Street as a venue for up and coming comedians. It was there that we hosted other comedians like WGCI's Tony Sculfield, Faizon Love, Jamie Foxx, Damon Wayons, Cedric The Entertainer and new Zeta Phi Beta Sorority President Sheryl Underwood.
The highlight for many of us in the local community was when Bernie made his appearances of Def Comedy Jam, which at that time was the success that many local promoters looked to as the most important pinnacle to achieve if a comedian wanted to make it. Of course Bernie achieved that and much much more, and I am just one of many who are just glad to have been a small part in the tremendous career of Bernie Mac, now one of the legends of Comedy. He always believed in himself, backed with his traditional big smile. He never lost his sense of social consciousness in that his last public appearance was at a fundraiser for Barack Obama.
Thank God for his wife who accepted and fulfilled the challenge Bernie gave to her to stick with him from the beginning of their relationship, She was there for the downside, his rise to superstardom, and was there as he rose to heaven. Of course he will be missed, but Bernie's legacy will certainly live on through his many comedy show featuring his stand-up performances and his movies, and through the many stories that those of us who worked with him through the years will continue to talk about for years to come.
I found a job in Leadville, Colorado 4 days a week 22 hours part time washing dishes and delivering pizza. Over the 1st 2 days I cleared $225.00 giving me a decent profit after all my expenses. I even won a pinball tournement in town on the Indiana Jones 4 pinball game. Another $23.50 for me.
If you still have vacation time, how about coming to the see Leadvilles' St. Patrick's Day Practice Parade on 9-20-08. There's just too much snow in March to have one. Plenty of beer to be had.
Fox you sure cheated your loyal Bears and Dance Fans on this call. Making Dance at 11:00 p.m. on a week night. We get up at 4:00 a.m. for work, so way could we watch that finale. I love our Chicago Bears, and it was a good season opening despite the loss, but we have followed the dance all season, thanks for taking the best episode away from us.
Elbert Creek:
From Leadville follow highway 24 to state route 300. Take 300 to county road 11. Turn left. Drive about 1.5 miles. 11 turns to the right. 3 miles to Halfmoon CG, Emerald Lake, Elbert Creek CG and at the very end of the dirt road is the trail head for Mt. Massive. Elbert Creek CG is a camp used by people climbing Mt. Elbert, Colorado's highest peak. The trail is good. .5 miles to cross Elbert Creek. 2 miles to tree line. 2 miles to the summit. Total distance is 9 miles round trip. Please allow 2-3 days to become accustomed to the high altitudes. Pack in what you need.
Saddlehorn:
This Campground is located in Colorado National Monument near the Book Cliffs. I suggest arriving late in the evening around 5pm as the temperature will be close to 100 during most of the summer. Stop by the vistors center, it closes at 6 and spend the rest of the evening at the Book Cliff Shelter. It's awesome. All types of food is available 7 miles in Frutia, Colorado.
Paonia State Park:
Spruce Campground is in the middle of nowhere, but is easy to get to on state highway 133, a scenic loop that takes you from Carbondale, colorado to Crested Butte, and is along a small flowing creek. Pack what you need, including water. I found the place to be infested with mosquitos, but was pleased to see a snake take refuge under a truck several sites from the one I was using.
Hello all! It's been so long since I've posted here. Anyways,a lot has happened, including a death of a kitten here in the famile. I don't want to talk about it. Anyways,I'm back here! :)
Love You All,
