Anonymous says that Barack Obama's decades long support of the inflammatory and knuckle-headed Pastor Wright is merely a small indicator of the Senator's poor judgment.

Forget Rev. Wright

by Anonymous

It's nothing short of astonishing that popular media have latched on so forcefully to the outrageously thick-head comments from Barack Obama's pastor. It's as if the Senator's continued support for the Reverend was evidence of Obama's inability to make a good decision, but he's already demonstrated that time and time again in far more obvious ways. This latest blunder does serve to highlight Senator Obama's shortcomings, but do not mistake it, alone as proof positive that he's not Presidential material. He's done that in other ways, that seemed to have escaped the scrutiny he's receiving now from the Rev. Wright flap.

Take that comment that always draws a cheer from Barack Obama's glassy-eyed followers when he says, he's the only candidate who's opposed the Iraq war from the start. People love to hear it, even though it has no foundation in truth. The reality is that Senator Obama voted time and time again to fund the Iraq war, but that seems to be lost on the people who simply what to accept every word that falls from his mouth as gospel. It makes life so easy -- just listen to what the messiah says and believe it. No need to check facts or use your own brain for its intended purpose, which includes thinking. Barack Obama has duped his followers about that critically important issue, adding to the evidence that shows he lacks the ability to lead the country.

Then there's his brilliance on the economy. He says America needs higher taxes, even though economy's in decline. No doubt he missed a recent story about taxes that pretty much sums up how it goes when politicians rely on money they think they're going to get from a tax hike. It's the story about the Chicago tax on bottled water and how the cash the city receives from it is about 40 percent short of projections. Gee, let's ponder that one.

Oh yeah, that's right -- it's simple to figure out, if you've spent more than an hour running a business, household or attended a business school lecture. People figure out ways to escape tax increases by modifying their behavior. Raise taxes and individuals will respond in ways to avoid it. That's not the worst of it. Any tax increase amounts to a drag on the economy, no matter if it's directed at the 'rich' the 'super-rich' or 'super-duper rich' and Senator Obama's plan to do that is reckless, especially because he's talking tax increase during economic contraction. Yeah, that'll work.

It gets better, readers. How about his statement on his willingness to bomb terrorists who try to escape into Pakistan from NATO forces fighting them in Afghanistan. That's one of the most foolish, dangerous and lame-brained things any politician has ever said. What do you think will happen if American led forces dropped bombs on an ally that just happens to have nuclear weapons? The result would be disastrous, but Senator Obama said he's willing to carry the fight into Pakistan and his followers said, good idea, Barack. What are they thinking?

How about that plan to build a fence along the U.S. - Mexico border? Barack Obama was right there, supporting the plan that does nothing to solve the fundamental problems associated with illegal immigration. People come to the U.S. illegally for a myriad of complex reasons that are rooted in economics and to think that some fencing along the border with Mexico is going to fix the problem is short-sighted, but that's Barack Obama for you. A border fence will simply force undocumented immigrants to pay a higher price to get to America and make the brutal, unsympathetic and criminal smugglers wealthier. Great on that one, Senator.

The fiasco with indicted Democratic fundraiser Tony Rezko is another of Barack Obama's epic blunders that he, himself acknowledges was a bone-head move. You remember the deal between the Obama's and Rezko's wife who sold them a ten foot strip of land that created a buffer around the Obama mansion, that they bought $300,000 below asking price. Sweet, for them and Rita Rezko who was able to score a few bucks on the deal with the Obama's. Very cozy.

There was also that gaping lack of good sense the Senator exhibited when news broke about the campaign contributions he received from the hard work of his pal Tony Rezko. Recall that Barack Obama decided to donate that money to charity only after those stories about those campaign dollars became public.

The scary thing about it is that this is just a sampler of the bumbling, stumbling mis-steps from the Junior Senator from Illinois who thinks he's got what it takes to run the nation. Hardly. Rev. Wright's rant on how the government lied about inventing HIV as a means of genocide against people of color is not a reason to condemn Senator Obama. Nothing the Reverend has said about that or anything should be taken as reason to withhold your vote from Senator Obama. Hardly. Barack Obama is capable of underscoring his numerous shortcomings and alienating clear thinking people all on his own.

Hey Byron,I can' believe you don't think we need a fence or troops on our southern border. Chicago is turning into a little mexico, they say there are between 2 - 2.1 million ILLEGAL ALIENS in Chicago. I worked on the rebuild of the Lake Shore Drive and the Dan Ryan and you couldn't hardly find a labor that spoke ENGLISH. Did you forget that 90 percent of all ILLEGAL DRUGS come from mexico. Look at who's doing all the crime, they are out doing the blacks. And for that Tony Rezko and his wife are nothing but CROOKS. Look at Tony, he is dealing with a guy from Iraq that is a billionare. Where do you think he stole that money from. Was that money from the United States, Tony owes that guy 30 million dollars. Tony has no income, his wife makes about 35,000 dollars a year but can borrow 600,000 dollars from a bank. Look again at Obama the guy that Tony owes 30 million got Obama the loan for his house. Oh yeah don't forget Obama wants to make all the ILLEGAL ALIENS citizens too. In California the ILLEGAL ALIENS have bankrupted almost 100 hospitals and it is headed this way. Also in Cal. 95 percent of all murder warrants are for ILLEGAL ALIENS.

Why not just start having public attacks on the millions of people who vote and fund Obama, or maybe you havent figured how many may also support the people who may sustaian the operating dollars here too? Obama gets stronger and stronger by people, so why not just attacking the people?

Dear Anonymous, Your statement about Obama's position on the war can be partially verified by going to my blog and clicking the link in, "Do you really want the truth about the war." Every Democrat leader and joint chief's of staff during the Clinton administration, including Clinton, can be seen and heard supporting action in Iraq. Did they have the guts to do anything, hell no. So now that war has become a dirty word and people have forgot 9/11, Cole, etc. and see that people do get killed in war, it's Bush's fault that we are in the war and that American lives have been lost. Forget the fact that there have been NO terrorist attacks on this country since the war. I find it hard to believe that ANY Democrat has the guts to say they were against the war when the record shows across the board support for the war. This finger pointing makes me vomit. So let's not finish what we started, lets just pull out, (because you see, war is nasty)and not finish what we started because it's so easy and simple for these idiot's to say, "just pull out". We entered this thing united we stay united. Forget the liberal media, they are liberal undermining traitors that love dissention, dissatisfaction, and division because it's news, and that sells, and that makes them money and we buy in because we listen and believe the hog wash they spoon feed us daily. If one man in my work crew of 30 starts to spread hate and discontent every day, day in and day out, guess what, pretty soon the whole group has bought in.

Why anyone continues to believe in this candidate is an indication of why we are going down the tubes. And for anyone to find excuses for Wright is despicable and also laughable. Wright is a man of hate and preaches hate. Jesus never preached hate. Obama's association with him is a small glimpse into his lack of intelligent judgment.

Byron is full of himself. He instigates conflict with his asinine comments regarding politics. After he puts his comments out there, he never returns with responses to other blog comments. You degree in journalism over shadows your political degree, which interferes with you having a complete understanding & knowledge of a real Political leader.

This morning, on the air, you characterized Louis Farrakhan as "a brilliant man". You suggested that an individual attending a Farrakhan speaking engagement would not necessarily embrace Farrakhan's views. You were trying to defend Barack Obama's history of attending sermons by Rev. Jeremy Wright. Instead, you exposed a mirror reflecting your heart and mind. Louis Farrakhan hates our country and deliberately reaches out to world leaders who despise the United States. He is not brilliant. He is evil. He is reprehensible. And so, too, are you, Mr. Harlan.

It appears there are a whole bunch of statements that need Obama's attention in this post. Maybe a few un-answered questions as well. I don't know "exactly" who anonymous is but he/she seems to have a handle on Obama's past.

Are we just smelling the coffee? I don't think people are as stupid as the news media thinks they are. We are asked to vote for someone for president, that means we have to vote for the least crooked person available. Yes I said it crooked! We are all aware that politicians don't really mean what they say and if you didn't know that by now you have been spending to much time with Alice in Wonderland. As I look at the potential candidates I really haven't seen anyone that has not misquoted themselves or just talks about whatever their staff has researched what the people in that particular area is dear to those people. I don't understand why everyone acts shocked when a politician doesn't live up to what they said they will do during their campaign. The government or any politician hasn't lived up to really representing the people just living for their salary and theirn re-election.

Hardly!
I don't either. Well at least not all of us!
That is a rather broad statement.
I am not sure that is completely true.
Yes, they all make mistakes but it's the ones that are outright fabrication that bother me.
It's called marketing sir!
I do, you said it earlier, it's the ones who have been with Alice too long.
That is simply not 100% true. There are some that have and others that have partially and others that have not.

You have no answers, just negative comments and that solves noting. It's possibly true that you do not even vote by the comments in your post. That only adds to the problem.

Wally,
Sir Yes I do vote and I vote regularly.
Why when someone states things that are true, better than 50% others state that politicians are marketing?
Oh I forgot it's not about the people it's about how long they can stay in office.
I have talked to politicians and I have had one in my family that was a Representative and the majority sir never says the same thing twice. Yes it is true that there are some good ones out there but they like my relative are very few.
If I had all the answers then I would be running for office. But lets see if I can shed some light on some issues.
Important issues are Border Control, Health Care, Tax Relief, oh and the big one Foreign Policy.
Border Control myself and others that I know say that their should be total control of our borders noth and south.
Health Care, well I certainly know that Clintons plan is garbage where all citizens pay into the government to supply everyone with access to the health care system. This would create nothing but problems not just adding to more money being sent to the Federal government. Which by the way doesn't know how to manage money anyway.
Tax relief, yes we as citizens need tax relief and if the answer is to raise taxes that doesn't seem to me to be the answer. It's allways the citizens that have to pay for the government to run, Seems that the oil companies and other businesses are making record profits in the billions. These companies should be paying the brunt of the taxes. And haven't you noticed that just about every few years the airlines are going broke and that the government bail
