The election isn't even three days old and a University of Texas football player splatters racist remarks all over his facebook page. Thank the Lord the school had the brains to suspend this idiot. Brandon Marshall of the Denver Broncos wants to do a weird end zone celebration for the election. Thank the Lord his teammate stopped him. An Italian official says that Obama is handsome, dynamic and TANNED and one television station retraces all the African-American firsts in this country's history. The more I think about it, the economy isn't the biggest problem facing America. The financial crisis will be solved long before racism, if ever. I certainly hope Obama's election doesn't do more to divide this country than unite it. In his acceptance speech, Obama said, "We are not red states or blue states. We are the United States." Oh really? Judging from what I've seen and heard the last three or four days, that's not necessarily true. People remain color blind.

George Bush was such a monumental failure that no Republican was going to win this election. McCain made a decent showing considering the fact that he was a Republican, the economy suffered a meltdown and he had a liability in Sarah Palin. Obama's rise to the Presidency still seems like a Hollywood movie. Four years ago, he commands national attention after his rousing speech at the Democratic National Convention. Four years later, he's President. Four years from now, Palin will try to make history of her own and four years after that, thanks to Obama, Chicago hosts the Olympics. Daley also had ulterior motives in letting anyone and everyone into Grant Park. He wanted to show the world(and the IOC)what a great town Chicago is and what a great host we would be in 2016. Some people voted because of color, most voted because they want change but here's the bottom line. President elects promise many things but when they take office, they find it's tough to deliver. Let's hope Obama's own Vice President was wrong when he said, "Barack Obama is not ready to be President of the United States." There's too much at stake.

Better get used to saying "President Obama." The Republicans are through. The mere fact that Bush is a Republican is enough. You know, stupidity by association. Couple that with the sagging economy and new questions about Sarah Palin's ethics and that spells a resounding Republican defeat. Even people that endorsed McCain are now turning against him. It wouldn't surprise me one bit if the Democrats were behind the current economic fiasco and those revelations about Sarah Palin to ensure that the Democrats occupy the White House. I only hope Biden knows what he's doing. He may be the new Cheney...actually running the country instead of President Obama. Obama is idealistic. Idealism and realism are two different things.
OJ and David

It's more than just coincidence that OJ Simpson was convicted of this most recent crime. Exactly thirteen years to the day after he was acquitted of murdering his wife and her friend, he's convicted in a Vegas break-in. Thirteen years to the day. There had to be some divine significance. The jury absolutely did the right thing. Whether Simpson was guilty or not of the Vegas break-in, the jury had a duty to undo the ridiculous verdict thirteen years ago. And they did. Heck, I bet all of the jurors went into this trial with intentions of convicting a man who thought he would get away with murder. Did they even listen to testimony in this trial? I don't think so. Hats of to the jury. Rot in prison OJ.
David Letterman was pathetic on Friday night with his scathing attack on Sarah Plain. Talk about payback. This was all about McCain snubbing Letterman for an appearance on David's show. What, Biden made no mistakes during the debate? This is an entertainment show and balance goes by the wayside but come on David, don't take your beef with McCain out on Palin. I thought Palin was great, taking a folksy approach on things and not trying to beat Biden at his own "Washington rhetoric" game. There's plenty to take Letterman to task on, namely his arrogrance on the air. That arrogrance, in most cases, isn't funny. That's why Leno kicks BLEEP in the ratings. Leno is a good guy, Letterman is not.

I was deeply saddened to learn about the death of Randy Salerno.
I worked with him at WBBM TV.
I have only one question.
Judgement.
Why would anyone get on a snowmobile driven by someone who was drunk?
Randy was a good person.
What happened to him is a waste of life.
The driver is a waste of time.
Sure It

You've got to be kidding.
Clemens now admits he got injections but it was a pain killer.
You mean to tell me that the person who gave gave him the needle, a person with a license in sports medicine, doesn't know the difference between a pain killer and testosterone.
Not only is Clemens a cheater, he's a liar.

Someone ought to take that Anu Solanki, knock some sense into her head, then deport her.
She runs off with her lover, doesn't even call anyone to let them know where she is, and taxpayers have to pay a quarter of a million dollars to search for her.
On top of that, she says she didn't realize it would cause so much trouble.
Duh? With women missing each day around here(are you listening Drew), she didn't think it would cause any concern? True, she's not worth finding but that's not how things work in America. We search for missing persons.
Young as she is, how studpid can she be?
They ought to make this witch pay for some of the search expense or at least force her to spend money to hire a lawyer.
Nah, they'll let her go scot free. Only in America. If anyone did that in her country, they'd probably be executed.
She further states that she wanted out of an arranged marriage. Well, sweetie, custom or not in your country, don't get yourself involved in that kind of situation.
Can you imagine how it must be for her husband? I don't mean losing his nut-case of a wife, that's a blessing, but the embarrassment for him that she was seeing this moron Jani before she even got married.
And Drew Peterson is probably loving this stuff. He's saying, "See, my wife probably did the same thing. She's out there with someone, alive."
Yeah, right Drew.
Screw Drew

Drew Peterson is a lot smarter than the media. He suckered them into doing so much coverage that now his attorney will argue he can't get a fair trial because of all the publicity. Just once I'd like a reporter to grill this SOB. For example, everyt time investigators search a new area ask Peterson, "Are we hot or cold?" Bait the guy. The media is so soft with this loser it's pathetic. Just once, someone, please have the fortitude to ask Peterson questions that reporters really want to ask but are afraid. This low-life is going to walk away from two murders and the media is partially responsible.

The judge should have thrown R. Kelly's sorry butt in jail.
Couldn't do it.
Too many people spent money on concert tickets.
The riots would have been out of control.
Innocent until proven guilty?
My rear end.
Deep down you know he videotaped his sexual escapades with a minor.
The same people who condemn it are the same idiots who spend money to see him perform.
Talk about double standards.
Why support a loser like that?
What does he offer society?

The Air and Water Show
Traffic.
Noise.
Danger.
Who needs it?
One of these days planes are going to collide over a mass of people below.
Enough said.
The Utah mine disaster was a horrible tragedy.
But how much longer do you search for trapped miners?
How many more people have to die?
Sad as it is,
and as much as families want closure,
let's face it,.
these guys lost their lives.
Let's not lose any more.
Those miners would be the first to say that.
Take No Stock in Bonds or Cubs

Hey Barry, say it t'aint so!
The best thing about Bonds breaking* the record is that we won't have to see his annoying kid in the dugout any more. What's with these athletes? Why do they have to continually bring their kids to dugouts and press conferences? No one cares about their kids and they're annoying and disruptive. Players have a tough enough time concentrating on questions when they're alone behind a microphone. Add their kids to the mix and you have the ultimate definition of incoherent. Are you listening Dusty Baker?
Cubs stink, Cubs stink, Cubs stink
They're being handed the National League Central title and all they keep doing is losing. You'd think they're the ones with a team of young players who can't hack the pressure. For gosh sakes, they're a veteran team. Their starting pitching is loaded with experience including Carlos Zam-no brain-oh. They have offensive fireworks. Sorry, Soriano's absence isn't an excuse. If they don't win the Central, they've had a sorry year.
Chopper Crisis

Hold a chase victim even partially responsible for the crash of two choppers in Phoenix?
You've got to be kidding.
What the heck did the chase victim have to do with it?
Blame the stupid television stations who send up choppers to get pictures we've seen a million times before, pictures we're sick of seeing, picture of no news value except sensationalism.
Why do we always learn our lesson at the expense of human life?
Bring the stations to court.
Vick, Bonds, the WNBA

Okay everyone, let's all sing to the tune of Kung Fu Fighting:
Michael Vick was dog fighting
Indicted fast as lightening
His future is very frightening
Cause he was dog fighting
Vick's last name should start with the fourth letter of the alphabet. I guess he knows all about the dog days of summer. Vick is just another sad case of a gifted athlete who finds ways to screw it all up.
Dear Barry Bonds:
You may be the biggest waste of money in baseball.
You're only playing to break a record.
And you want to break that record at home.
So you sit and wait, and deprive fans who pay good money to see you hit on the road.
You jerk, you wouldn't even participate in the Home Run Hitting Contest at the All Star Game in your home town. How selfish is that? Oh, I forgot, you had a hangnail.
You don't deserve to break a record held by Hank Aaron. He's got class, you're an BLEEP.
Want to conserve fuel?
Fold up the WNBA
Games are not worth the money it takes the fly players around the country.
Dumb and Dumber

How dumb can one person be? In a day and age when politicians are under a microscope and virtually nothing is kept secret from reporters digging for dirt, Mark Foley puts sexually explicit e-mails on the internet. Give me a break! What's even more frightening is that he's an elected official, put in office to help to make sound decisions. And I'm sure he's not the only one in Washington guilty of doing stupid things. It really is frightening to think about who is running around loose in Washington these days. Heck, Jack and Jill would do a better job on the Hill.
Just what we need...more violent video game ads on television. Hello! Can you say, "Colorado murders in Columbine and Bailey, a dead principal in Wisconsin and a tragedy of unspeakable magnitude in Pennsylvania?" Losers who watch these ads and who are starved for attention, play these things out. I know it's a country where we enjoy freedom of speech and expression, but when other people's lives are on the line, how about a little censorship?
