I am tired of hearing this lame excuse that the Sox were tired after three do-or-die end-of- season games to get into the playoffs. Hey, last time I checked Tampa Bay was just as mentally fatigued after having the Red Sox on their tails all season long and the Rays kicked butt against the Sox. And those extra two games the Sox had to play would have been unnecessary if they hadn't choked in Minnesota, losing three straight games. Even after that debacle, the Twins wanted to give the Sox the A.L. Central title but, lest we forget Sox fans, the Sox choked in the first two games against Cleveland. So, please don't give me this mental and physical fatigue garbage. The Sox should have won the A.L. Central in regulation. Besides, when you get into the playoffs, you play on adrenalin and fumes.
To show you how stupid OJ really is, he knew that the slightest wrong-doing would land him back in court where any jury was just waiting for revenge. The really sad part about OJ going to prison, now he can't pursue his mammoth search for the real killers.

The Cubs got what they deserved. The regular season really means nothing. The post season is what matters and the Cubs were AWOL, chokers, not coming through when it really counts, playing their worst baseball of the season in the playoffs. There is an 11th commandment: THE CUBS SHALT NOT WIN A WORLD SERIES. It's great to see Cub fans wallowing in misery because Cub fans, quite simply, are idiots. They come to games to be seen, many have no knowledge of baseball, they wear ridiculous costumes, and cry for hours after a loss. Do they cry for people who lost their homes or their lives in hurricanes? Do they cry for people who can't afford food and morgage any more? Hey, it's baseball. It's okay to be a fan but Cubs fans take it way too far. Trust me, I'm no Sox fan either. Just a baseball fan. Also happy to see Ron Santo crying in his Budweiser. Hey, this guy is so bad, he shouldn't even be behind a microphone. So, this is his punishment for being nothing more than a homer. Wait till next year and the year after and the century after and the eon after. Ain't gonn happen Cubs fans. Even the great Lou Piniella can't win a post-season game. It's destiny. Here's your Cubs song:
No Cubs no
No Cubs no
Hey Chicago, what do ya say
The Cubs they really stunk today.
Cedric Benson(the felon)shouldn't even be allowed back in the league. But at least he found a team that he can relate to: the Cincinnati Bengals, thugs and felons of the NFL. He's right in his element. He'll screw this one up too.

It's more than just coincidence that OJ Simpson was convicted of this most recent crime. Exactly thirteen years to the day after he was acquitted of murdering his wife and her friend, he's convicted in a Vegas break-in. Thirteen years to the day. There had to be some divine significance. The jury absolutely did the right thing. Whether Simpson was guilty or not of the Vegas break-in, the jury had a duty to undo the ridiculous verdict thirteen years ago. And they did. Heck, I bet all of the jurors went into this trial with intentions of convicting a man who thought he would get away with murder. Did they even listen to testimony in this trial? I don't think so. Hats of to the jury. Rot in prison OJ.
David Letterman was pathetic on Friday night with his scathing attack on Sarah Plain. Talk about payback. This was all about McCain snubbing Letterman for an appearance on David's show. What, Biden made no mistakes during the debate? This is an entertainment show and balance goes by the wayside but come on David, don't take your beef with McCain out on Palin. I thought Palin was great, taking a folksy approach on things and not trying to beat Biden at his own "Washington rhetoric" game. There's plenty to take Letterman to task on, namely his arrogrance on the air. That arrogrance, in most cases, isn't funny. That's why Leno kicks ass in the ratings. Leno is a good guy, Letterman is not.

Cedric Benson.
Busted for boating while drunk, and resisting arrest.
Time for Benson to sail out of Chicago.
He's a Bear running back bust, right up there with Rashaan Salami.
More importantly, Jerry Angelo needs to be consistent.
He shipped (I'm in the)Tank Johnson
out of town for the Tankster's stupidity.
Time for Captain Cedric to go.
Come Jerry, have some kahunas.
Make the move.
Pull the trigger.
The real puzzling part about this whole thing?
It's been 24 hours and no dumb ass lawyer
has come out and said, "Cedric's innocent. It's a mistake."
Sure, it's always a mistake.
Like Clemens was a mistake.
Like Bonds was a mistake.
Like Pacman was a mistake.
The list goes on and on.

ESPN football analyst Mel Kiper looks like Dracula.
Give this guy a cape and fangs and he's Bela Lugosi reincarnated.
Speaking of ESPN, have you heard of half of the analysts they use?
Can't nail him on steroids.
Get him on the affair.
Roger Clemens: the liar(Congress), the cheat(steroids) and the cheater(on his wife)
Pacman Jones gets a three year contract with the Cowboys.
He ought to be signing a three year lease to live in a looney bin.
Once again, degenerates get rewarded.
Come on, give it up.
Larry Brown takes a job in Charlotte as head coach.
He's going to become the first person in history to
coach every NBA team.
What a stumblebum.
Free agency rears its ugly head again.
Barry Zito...banished to the bullpen.
Nice move by the Giants spening zillions on this bust.
In fact, I think a bust of Zito would be better than the real life Zito.
The NBA playoffs are way too long.
Come on, two months of this stuff.
At least they shouldn't take so much time off between games.
Oh yes, I forgot, TV revenue.

I may be one of the few that think so, but I really don't care for the White Sox radio duo of Ed Farmer and Steve Stone. Farmer sounds cocky and like a know-it-all behind the mic. Stone sounds like a robot. He overenunciates every word and overanalyzes every pitch. Steve, relax, you got the job. You don't have to try to dazzle so often. Farmer is really nothing more than a color commentator himself and when you have two color commentators in the announce booth, guess what happens? Each one tries to outdo the other with profound observations. It's like a Can You Top This competition. Leave Stone and get a real play by play guy to replace Farmer. Then Stone's analysis will be a lot easier to take because there won't be as much brain power coming out of one announce booth. I'll give Stone and Farmer one thing. They're a lot better than Ron Santo who, when it comes to working the microphone, should be known as the Butcher of Clark and Addision.

March Madess.
It's really March Sadness.
Those post season conference basketball tournaments are a waste of time.
Hey, you win your conference during the regular season, that's good enough.
Why do you have to prove it again in a tournament against teams you've already played twice during the regular season?
Oh yes, I forgot, greed. Conferences, schools and, of course, whores like ESPN have to make money.
Do away with conference tournaments and expand the NCAA tournament by a week to include only the best teams in the country.
Are you telling me that teams like Austin Peay and Coppin State deserve to be in? Are you telling me that Coppin State is better than bubble teams and other teams that didn't make the NCAA tournament? So what if Coppin State won their conference tournament. What kind of rinky dink conference do they play in anyway? How tough is their schedule? And Coppin State was in the twenty loss club this season. Why should a team with so many losses even be allowed on a basketball court?
Just when you thought post season football was the worst thing to hit college sports(no playoff system and meaningless bowl games), along comes the NCAA basketball tournament.

Coach K says, "The life lessons I learned from Bob Knight are immeasurable." What life lessons? How to throw chairs and obscenities? How to berate officials? How to manhandle players? How to mess around with cheerleaders? Is it coincidence or did Bob Knight wait around to break a record, then decide to retire? His son will now coach Texas Tech. Yeah, right. Talk about nepotism! Remember what happened at DePaul when Joey took over for Ray? By the way, what's the over-under on how many days it will take for Knight to wind up at ESPN? I hate Knight but my fervent prayer is that if he winds up at ESPN, he replaces Dick Vitale who is arguably the biggest windbag ever put on this planet(Stephen A. Smith and Skip Bayliss are two and three).
Is it just me or is MikeTirico the luckiest dude ever? He has no voice, no distinct talent or style and this guy is doing Monday Night Football and his own radio show. Even more of an enigma, how in the hell did Tony Kornheiser wind up in the announce booth? Please, bring back Keith Jackson, Howard Cossel and Dandy Don(yes I know Cossel is dead).

I was deeply saddened to learn about the death of Randy Salerno.
I worked with him at WBBM TV.
I have only one question.
Judgement.
Why would anyone get on a snowmobile driven by someone who was drunk?
Randy was a good person.
What happened to him is a waste of life.
The driver is a waste of time.

The editor of that golf magazine that okayed a noose on the cover should use that same noose to hang himself. Stuff like that sets race relations back forty years. It's no wonder racial tensions still reign supreme in our country. It was bad enough that that ditz of an analyst on the Golf Channel used lynching and Tiger Woods in the same sentence. But after such an uproar, to have a reputable magazine put what they did on the cover is mind-boggling and inexcusable.
Is it just me or are these men's tennis matches way too long? I have no life so I was watching the Australian Open. This match between Hewitt and Bagdhatis or whatever his name is went on for an eternity. I think the Iraq war began after that match began. Come on. I thought chauvinism was dead. Women play best two out of three. That should be quite enough for men, too. I do think that any match involving Sharapova should automatically be best of five sets. Gives us more time to stare.
Who runs the Bulls, the inmates or the coach? I have never heard of anything so inane as to let players decide who should be suspended. Business as usual for a sorry a-- team.
Great move by the Ravens to hire an Eagles secondary coach as their new head coach. Sure it's about money but the Ravens also bought themselves a ticket for another season of mediocrity. The curse of Cam Cameron(the great ex-Dolphins coach)will be flying high over the Ravens' stadium for sure.

"He's my quarterback."
(boo hoo, boo hoo, boo hoo)
Terrell Owens crying like a child at the podium.
Oh, please.
You guys lost.
Take it like a man.
Face it, you guys can't win a playoff game, so what's the purpose of going 13-3?
A waste of time.
And, another Wade fade.
He can't win either in the post season.
I loved watching Jerry Jones stew on the sidelines.
Another ego-maniac brought to his knees.
Go Packers.
If this is Farve's last season, I want him to go out with a (Super Bowl)ring.
No one plays the game with as much enthusiasm and love as he does.
He's fun to watch and understands that football is more than just x's and o's.
It's about entertainment.
Farve gets it.
He's what athletes should be all about.
Unfortunately, they're not.

You've got to be kidding.
Clemens now admits he got injections but it was a pain killer.
You mean to tell me that the person who gave gave him the needle, a person with a license in sports medicine, doesn't know the difference between a pain killer and testosterone.
Not only is Clemens a cheater, he's a liar.

Way to go Zook.
Nice job Illini.
You succeeded in disgracing the Big Ten.
That game was the lock of the day.
The Trojans giving 14 points to Illinois.
What an easy bet.
Should have known they'd get blown out.
Anytime a coach says we're grateful for the opportunity to play USC, that's like saying we're gonna get our butts handed to us.
Did you see Zook on the sidelines when his team was getting destroyed? He tried to look as if he was still into the game. What he was really thinking? I can't wait to get out of here.
Zook had a monthy to prepare for this game.
He should have focused on teaching his players to hang on to the football.
And what's with all of those stupd little delay handoffs? How easy was it for the USC defense to figure that out?
Illinois played not to lose. That's a sure fire way not to win.
Illinois was outmatched and outclassed, in way over their heads.
Oh well, back to the drawing board. This year the Rose bowl was one big thorn in Zook's side.

Someone ought to take that Anu Solanki, knock some sense into her head, then deport her.
She runs off with her lover, doesn't even call anyone to let them know where she is, and taxpayers have to pay a quarter of a million dollars to search for her.
On top of that, she says she didn't realize it would cause so much trouble.
Duh? With women missing each day around here(are you listening Drew), she didn't think it would cause any concern? True, she's not worth finding but that's not how things work in America. We search for missing persons.
Young as she is, how studpid can she be?
They ought to make this witch pay for some of the search expense or at least force her to spend money to hire a lawyer.
Nah, they'll let her go scot free. Only in America. If anyone did that in her country, they'd probably be executed.
She further states that she wanted out of an arranged marriage. Well, sweetie, custom or not in your country, don't get yourself involved in that kind of situation.
Can you imagine how it must be for her husband? I don't mean losing his nut-case of a wife, that's a blessing, but the embarrassment for him that she was seeing this moron Jani before she even got married.
And Drew Peterson is probably loving this stuff. He's saying, "See, my wife probably did the same thing. She's out there with someone, alive."
Yeah, right Drew.

College football really needs an enema.
There's no true playoff system.
And these bowl games mean absolutely nothing.
Which sport can you think of where post season games don't count?
The Insight Bowl. The Outsight Bowl, The Outback Bowl, the Outhouse Bowl, the Toilet Bowl, the Tidy Bowl, the Emerald Bowl, The Wizzard of Oz Bowl.
Give me a break.
How do these games contribute to crowning a national champion?
These bowls exist solely for the purpse of generating revenue for colleges and to give fat cat alums an excuse to party and booze for a week.
And if your team isn't playing, do you really care?
Get a playoff system.
16 teams.
Everyone else stays home.
Pay these players, too.
They're the ones generating the revenue.
And if you watch all of these bowl games, here's a piece of advice:
Get a life!
