Troy Anthony Davis, an innocent man, is scheduled to die, October 27,2008 in the state of Georgia. There is compelling evidence of his innocence. All attempts for a new trial, by his attorneys have been denied because of the Anti-Terrorism and Effective Death Penalty Act of 1996. Is it just and right to take the life of an innocent man because of a technicality of law or has the Death Penalty become so political in nature, that no one is willing to save the lives of innocent men? Troy Davis is not alone in his fight for his life, there are many Troy Davis' on death row in the United States of America. How can we as a Nation continue to take the lives of our sons, brothers, husbands, and friends, without first giving them every chance to prove their innocence? Seven of nine witnesses have recanted their testimony. There are several witnesses who have not been given the chance to testify. How can we put a time limit on TRUTH and INNOCENCE? Mr. Davis should be granted a new trial and I urge you to join our Innocence Matters Group at http://groups.com/group/innocence-matters-free-troy-da
vis , taking all actions to save the life of an innocent man, Mr. Troy Anthony Davis.

Troy Anthony Davis, an innocent man is scheduled to die October 27, 2008 in the state of Georgia. Every attempt made by Troys' attorneys for a new trial has been denied because of the Anti-Terrorism and Effective Death Penalty Act of 1996. There is compelling evidence of his innocence and several new eye-witnesses, but there is a time frame placed on appeals and the the submission of new evidence. Seven out of nine witnesses have recanted their testimony. Is it just and right to take the life of an innocent man because of a technicality of law? Can we as a Nation continue to take the lives of our sons, brothers, husbands, friends and those we don't know , how can we justify these actions? Those of you who can see the TRUTH and hear this PRAYER, I urge you to join our Innocence Matters Group at http://groups.com/group/innocence-matters-free-troy-da

Troy My Friend,
This is a heavy heart day for all who love and believe in you. I have no words to comfort you. Like you , it hard for me to understand ,why you must loose you life, when you have done nothing wrong. You have been a victim of racism, hatred, lies, police corruption, poor counsel during your trial, affected by the "Anti-Terrorism and Effective Death Penalty Act of 1996", and the simple truth is , you have been rail-roaded from day one. I want so much to see you and I have been denied that as well! If they take your life Tuesday, September 23, 2008, as your friend , I promise you that I will never let the story of "Troy Anthony Davis " DIE! The world will know the INJUSTICE forced upon you! You are an innocent man, YOU are my FRIEND and I love you brother. I still pray for a miracle.
We continue to send e-mails and letters, hopefully by the Grace of God, someone will listen. If you are reading this letter, it would be most appreciated if you would take the time to sign petetions, send letters to the Georgia Pardons and Parole Board, the Supreme Court, the governor, any effort to save the life of an innocent man would be appreciated. You can find information about Troy Anthony Davis by typing in his name. Many web sites will appear, including "The Story of Troy Anthony Davis," and the compelling facts of his innocence.

As a person of Native American descent (Cherokee, Seminole) I must agree with many people that the Native Americans deserve an apology . It was a great injustice to them taking away their land, way of life, dignity, the shed of their blood. All though I am of Native American descent, I am mixed blood, so I am also part of those responsible for that injustice. My GreatGreatGrandmother traveled ( The Trail of Tears )as did many other ancestors. They died from a mixture of hardships inflicted upon them by force which included disease, inadequate food and shelter, murder, and the tiring incredible trek of which many were unable to physically indure. Where is the APOLOGY ? Don't you think they deserve it ?
There is another APOLOGY which is long over due ! SLAVERY ! A great injustice was also commited against the African American race. They were beaten, hung, raped, and taken from their home land . Gone was their happiness and way of life. They were sold, husbands, wives, children, mothers and fathers were separated from their family unit. Never to see their loved ones again. Did I personally do this to them ? NO ! But that doesn't mean that I am not sorry that it happened. I did not cause it to happen and neither did you, but as human beings, we need to understand the impact it had on them. We need to understand their pain and despair, every inch of suffering that was committed against them. We also need not to forget that there were also slaves among the other races, Asians and Native Americans. Each person enslaved, regardless of their race ,is owed an apology. It could not have been wrong to enslave one race and not the other. It was all wrong. When we cry , we should cry for them all, each person was equally important.
NOW , HOW ABOUT THE THANKS ! There was a tremendous injustice against so many people, so many years ago, but there were also many men who believed in freedom. They gave the ultimate sacrifice ( their own lives ) in the fight to abolish slavery. I never hear a THANK YOU for them. You know what ? I THANK THEM , for putting an end to such cruel and criminal actions against mankind. I THANK THEM for thinking of you. I THANK THEM for thinking of me. I THANK THEM for giving their lives for the future of all AMERICANS. In The United States of America there is probably a small percentage of people who are 100% pure blood to their race. Most of us are mixed to some degree. I'm proud of my blood, every drop, what about you? Think about that Americans!
