There is no such thing as excess profits, if you believe there is then your not a business owner or stockholder. Oil Co.'s make roughly 8.3 cents in gross profit per dollar of sales. Why not slap his tax on sectors of the economy that have fatter margins? Will he? Electronics make 14.5 cents per dollar, computer equiptment 13.7. MicroSoft makes 27.5. Oil and gas companys made $86.5 billion in profits last year. Financial services $498.5 billion, retail industries $137.5 billion, information technology $103.4 billion. Elect this moron and the whole country will lose.

Lost crops and future production are going to increase your cost to exist. Where's the volunteers?..Where's the Boo Hoo's?..As always FEMA is doing a Great job, there are no lies coming out of this region, as the media did in New Orleans. Billions of dollars are lost here in livestock and grain production. Property damage estimates will still be coming in for the next 6 months. Estimates are that over 30% of corn production alone has been diverted out of the livestock and human food supplies, to biofuels. That 30% doesn't exist anymore. So sit back and act outraged when your wallet gets hit even harder again. Dept's. of Health are everywhere preparing for the coming bug fest and spraying of mosquitos. This problem is just getting started. The joke here is waiting to hear how nobama is going to save everything and make it all better.

May 12th;....The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) quantified the total taxpayer bill for energy production for 2007 at $16.6 Billion in direct subsidies, tax breaks, and loan guarantees. Thats double in real dollars from eight years earlier, given all the money Congress is throwing at "renewables" and even more subsidies are set to pass this year. The EIA concludes that solar energy is subsidized at $23.34 per megawatt hour, wind at $23.37 and "clean coal" $29.81. By contrast "normal coal" receives 44 cents, natural gas 25 cents, hydroelectric 67 cents, and nuclear power $1.59. Wind and solar lobbies complain their not getting their fair share of the subsidy pie. Both have been on the subsidy take for years and account for less than 1% of total electricity generation. Nuclear power provides 20% of U.S. electricity production and is subsidized 15 times less than wind. EIA also found that ethanol and biofuels receive $5.72 per BTU (British Thermal Unit) of energy produced, and $2.82 solar per BTU, $1.35 for refined coal BTU, and 3 cents per BTU for natural gas and other petroleum liquids. This shows the reason fossil fuels dominate American energy production, they are extremely cost-effective. So the next time you hear Congress or Granholm say they are going to create "Millions" of "Green Jobs", those jobs won't come cheap, and you'll be paying for them....
