Flooding in Riverside 9-15-2008

Below are photos which were taken in Riverside, Illinois on Monday September 15, 2008
between 2:00pm and 3:30pm of the extensive flooding which occurred after the record rainfall over the past weekend.

Above is the Hoffmann Water Tower & Dam

Above is overflow of the Des Plaines River just downstream from the Hofmann Dam

Above is the Historic Suspension Bridge located in the Heart of Riverside

Above is Street Flooding on the North side of Town.

Above is Street Flooding on the West side of Town.

Above: The Concrete House on the left is the USGS River Crest - Stage Monitoring Station which
acquires the river data shown below. To the Right is the Solar Panel used to power the Station.
