I really hope that the American public wakes up soon and smartens up real fast. In case no one has noticed, things are getting kind of grim. A lot of Americans are losing their homes and having to sleep in their cars. If things get any worst, a lot more people will be joining them. An old Republican named McCain that owns 7 houses and represents 0.5 percent of the American population will not make things better for most Americans. If that man becomes the next president, I suspect that a lot of Americans will not survive his same old republican policies.

You are not trying to blame the republican administration for this mortgage fiasco are you? I thought you were more inteligent than that. ARM's have been around for four decades that I know of for sure. At one time they were used responsibly. Lending institutions used to study the potential of the borrower to pay back the money they borrow. In the 60's through the 80's Americas working class were,in most cases, were assured annual pay raises, COLA's (cost of living adjustments), and promotions. Not so for the last two decades, clintons NAFTA ect. but a whole other story. Did you know your --ppy h---ed candidate makes 3,000,000.00 a year on book sales with quotes like if the world gets out of wack he will side with the muslims (the snakes and cowards) that purpatrated the 911 attacks. Wake up America, our government with the dumbacrats in congress driving us into the ground. Are you stupid enough to believe that only 0.5 percent of Americans own at least 7 homes. And I suppose they are all Republicans. What a joke!

The blame for the troubles that American is facing right now falls onto George Bush and the republican congress for letting him get away with it, and for giving him even more authority. Have you heard of the Iraq war? As for the 0.5 percent of Americans, I don’t know what party they belong to. However, you have to be in a very high income tax bracket to be able to afford 7 houses, especially in today’s market.

Too bad you are afraid and choose to delete any post that wants the truth to be heard. By the way, it is a dumbacrat congress. Where have you been?
I know of one person that bought over 12 homes during this realestate fiasco with no money down, rented them out and is making the payments with rent monies. You don't have to be rich, but having a brain is a requirement. You lose!

Actually if you fallow the time line you will see the houseing industry started to tank twards the end of last year, the banking middle of this year, and the country is ran by congress not the president. Congress makes the laws, taxes, governs trade, declares war, and spends our taxes, they also pass the bills and all tax laws. Who has the control of congress now and last year? Democrats, and it is also the democrats who freed social security so it could be used, block drilling for oil, and created the mess we are with gas prices and the ecconomy. Personally I hope it goes back to republicans as it was under Clinton and we get back on track.

Hey cadman768, I want to thank you for enlightening a lot of people out there that the dumbacrats run the country, not the President.

Hey gimini210, I also would like to thank you on informing people about the demacraps in office. I like what Clinton did for America in the 90's. He signed America into N.A.F.T.A. and forbid any drilling of OIL in America. With those two things he did he put America behind the 8 ball. All the good jobs went to mexico for CHEAP labor and now we have between 37 - 40 million ILLEGAL ALIENS in America. The democraps say it will take at least 10 years to hit oil. Back in 1974 they started to drill for oil in Alaska and by 1977 they built the 800 mile pipe line and started to pump oil. So where does this information come from that obama is saying it will take 10 years to get any oil ??? obama spent more time running for the Presidents job then he spent in Congress.

Congress is the voice of the individual citizen. The dumbacrats are the majority in congress right now. In the midst of the energy crises, nancy pislosi dismissed congress for vacation before there was any discusions. This was very irrisponsible. And some ignorant people think the dumbacrats care about our welfare?

McCain is so out of touch with reality that he thinks the economy is strong! In case you are not aware of it, a lot of people are struggling to get by these days, and a lot of them are losing their homes. McCain lives in another world, he lives in rich America, most of the population does not. What you should be concerned with is not the blame game, it’s who is more likely to help this country move on and prosper. My opinion is that it will not be a man that thinks the economy is strong. Someone like that will offer little assistance to the many that are living in reality and struggling on a day-to-day basis.

If Obama is elected he wants to raise corporate income taxes. We already have one of the highest corporate income tax rates in the world(35%). That's 2.5- 3 times as much as many other countries who have been dropping their rates. I know you probably are thinking "who cares about corporations, make them pay their fair share". There are at least two problems with that. First corporations don't pay taxes, they collect them from you and me. Second the countries with lower rates and people who don't want to blame them for all their problems will look real good to them and they will close up shop here and take your jobs overseas. Also look when gas prices really shot up. After January 2007 when the Democrats took over CONgress. The same thing happened with unemployment rates. They just recently hit a 5 year high(6.1%). What was five years ago? That was when the Bush tax cuts were passed. So after the tax cuts unemployment rates went down until after the Dummycrats passed the minimum wage increase.
The Dummycrats are also working on state, county and local levels to make our lives a living hell. In Chicago, Cook County, and The General Assembly in Springfield they've cranked up the tax machine(while giving themselves cost of living raises). Then they point at Bush and say "look what he's doing to the economy".
