Confessions of a Soccer Mom

Just got word that the soccer tournament my daughter's team was set to play in this weekend has been cancelled due to our horrible weather.  YIPPPPEEEE!!!!   It would've consumed our entire weekend.  And I know I'm not the only soccer mom from the team who's secretly happy.  Given the hectic lives we all lead these days, it's nice to have some unexpected "down" time to spend together.  

I hear there are all sorts of cancellations due to the weather - baseball, softball, lacrosse... There must be other parents and caregivers out there feeling the same guilty pleasure?!?!?!   Enjoy the weekend!

Guess What? I'm a former Coach and Referee (Chicago Park District), and between you and me, we loved when Games were CANCELLED as well, lol.

Because "WE" did not have to hear Cute but Loud Soccer Moms screaming at the top of their lungs, lol :-)

Imagine that is pretty irritating for coaches and refs at all levels! Don't worry, I do plenty of talking at work and was a cheerleader throughout high school and college - I'm pretty quiet along the sidelines these days!
