Little Village celebrates the release of immigration detainees

The Little Village community welcomed back several men who had been detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials.

“These are the releases we've had,” said Rev. José Landaverde, of Our Lady of Guadalupe Anglican Church, in the city's Southwest Side, while reading a list of ten men who were released ICE in the last few days.

The reverend said he was expecting the release of eight additional detainees.

“I also beg for the release of the people that were arrested in Jackson, Mississippi”, said Severa Áviles, wife of one of the men who was released.

10 out of HOW MANY were released? And why? LOL!

What are you going for here? Do you consider this a victory of some kind or did you just get the urge to type something stupid? ;-)
