I wanted to share this information with you. I myself live with chronic pain and am disabled because of it. Since so many people suffer from invisible illnesses (arthritis, lupus, MS, the list is very long) we are trying to spread the word about Invisible Illness Awareness Week, Sept 8-14. If you don't live with an invisible illness, perhaps you know someone who does. The site provides encouragement and information for both those who suffer and caregivers.
DID YOU KNOW…
* Nearly 1 in 2 Americans live with a chronic condition?
* 96% of illness is invisible? 75% of marriages end in divorce when illness is present?
* 79% of suicides have uncontrollable physical pain as a factor?
National Invisible Chronic Illness Awareness Week is a campaign to educate people about how often illness is invisible and how to be sensitive to their challenges, and also learn from their unique experiences. "HOPE CAN GROW FROM THE SOIL OF ILLNESS!" is the theme of 2008's National Invisible Chronic Illness Awareness Week, September 8-14, 2008 For more information, you can visit either of these sites: http://www.InvisibleIllness.com Or http://www.restministries.org/

I enjoy Scrapbooking, computer graphics, and Football (Go Bears! and Go Florida Gators!). Max, my parakeet, provides much fun and laughter. In Oct. 2000 I injured my back, and now live with Chronic pain. However, God's unconditional love and care is overwhelming.
