I am so happy that most parents were smart enough to send their children to school on the first day of school. I'm also glad that Sen. Meeks did get the media coverage the Chicago Public Schools needs.

I think it worked out well for both sides. Children were in school where they are safer and could learn and the funding issues of the Chicago Public Schools has a light shined on them.

However, I hope that Sen. Meeks continue to pressure funding but find better ways to protest. I'm sure he can come up with something, he's a creative man.

Hey Demetius, Meeks is always crying about something. Why doesn't he built a school next to his gigantic church, or what ever he calls it. Try to help out when the people need it. Thats what I thought churches alway did, help out. I would like to know where he got the money to build that church. Also is it true he owns his own private jet and it is kept at Gary Ind. airport ???

What do you mean where did he get the money? Where do any other church get money to build from? The members of course!

You're right the church is there to help but isn't that the main purpose of government? To at least be fair with the funding? I agree with Rev. Meeks fight for more public funding. I just don't agree with the taking children out of school.

Does the President not have a private jet? With this country in this much debt, Bush is still flying high in his personal jet.
