I think it's fair to call it fabulous insanity! That's what's going on at Invesco Field right now. First of all you have to be bused over there -- everybody, all 75,000 people! Then security is insane. No outside food. No backpacks. No paper. Yes I said no paper!

Then there's the seating. People are already complaining that they came to see the speech of a lifetime and they have an obstructed view. That fabulous podium with the columns sure looks good if you're sitting in front of it, but if you're sitting behind it, you can't see a thing. I guess that's what the huge screens are for. Anyway, it looks like people are having a good time all in all since some huge singers are set to perform: Sheryl Crow, Stevie Wonder, John Legend, Bon Jovi and maybe even The Boss, himself.

And we can't forget that this is a history making day since it's the 45th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s "I Have a Dream" speech.

A lot of people are saying Senator Obama's speech tonight is going to be the "Dream Speech 2."

See in New York on Monday.

Hi everybody! Things are really rocking and rolling now at the DNC. Tonight voting is taking place.

Senator Clinton supporters -- I'm happy to tell you -- are being represented as delegates are able to vote for her on the floor.

But what everybody is looking forward to -- making history -- as Senator Obama will be the first African American presidential nominee for a major political party. For that reason it's really turning into a partylike atmosphere.

One thing I'm really looking forward to tonight is former President Bill Clinton's speech.

Like Senator Obama, boy can he speak. He's so good we heard word that he didn't even do a rehearsal here in the Pepsi Center. So it should be good.

I'll keep in touch.

I feel so terrible for that woman who was hit on the head by falling bricks on west 45th street today. They fell three stories from a suspended scaffold. Workers were repairing the buildings facade. Thank God she's ok but that could have been deadly.

It reminded me of the time I went to meet my mom for my birthday dinner back in 1995.  I was waiting for her on the corner of 6th avenue and 14th street, but decided to go into a pizza place to wait because it was cold outside. I sat down at a table near a window and not five minutes later did a hanging plant with a ceramic pot come crashing down on my head. That might explain some things!

So guess what? Instead of going to the restaurant and having dinner, I spent my birthday at St. Vincent's Hospital.

Always remember to look up.

I don't know about you but all this All Star Game news is great. To tell you the truth...I get sick of telling you about all the horrible things that happen in our area every night, so when something like this comes along or the Giants getting into the Superbowl, I just can't get enough of it.

Yes I know it's just a game, but don't you get tired of hearing about how your life is being ruined by high gas prices...the mortgage crisis and a horrible dollar?

Let's talk about something fun for once before we have to return to gloom and doom.

Cheers!

All I can say is wow! Is this the summer of divorce or what? First Christie Brinkley and Peter Cook and the young Diana Bianchi, now Alex Rodriguez and Cindy and Madonna. This is a lot of info to digest. I know it's juicy but whatever happened to privacy between couples? And what about their kids? I don't know how you explain all of this to them.

I don't know how A-Rod is going to survive this one. Hopefully it won't hurt his performance.

I must be honest I didn't even realize there was a faith blog. How cool.

Anyway, have any of you read "The Shack" yet? I've been hearing so much about it and it's number two on Amazon.

I heard an interview with the author who said he wrote the story for his kids as a Christmas present never meaning it to be published and now it's got the whole Christian community it seems, talking about it.

I plan to read it but I'm still a little hesitant about the subject matter.

Let me know what you think.
