That's how he was marketed, if you remember. "The guy with the funny name". Nobody could pronounce it, (and now we wish we never heard it!) Daley joked about it in news conferences when endorsing him time after time and every news agency and media outlet helped him along. The guy with the funny name got the seat, because of the Machine...and for no other reason.
Rod's claim to fame was the attemped bill banning .50 caliber gun sales in Illinois, because, come on....it IS the weapon of choice in crimes, isn't it? What? Not one shooting in the last 6 years in Chicago was shot by a .50 caliber? Say it ain't so!
Knowing that the primary concern of Blago was to line his pockets and secure his and his family's future, we now need to look at every major bill he pushed through the legislature, like the Medical Malpractice Limits bill. This was supposedly proposed to "keep doctors in Illinois" as Blago and company told us that doctors were heading for the borders because the insurance rates were so high in Illinois. About the same time that was pushed, http://www.chicagobusiness.com/" target="_blank">Crain's Chicago Business (search http://crainschicago.com" target="_blank">"more doctors in Illinois" on their website) ran a story that directly conflicted with that information stating that the net licenses for doctors in Illinois was actually up from the previous years!
Now who do you think really benefited the most from that legislation? Doctors? Ask a Doctor in Illinois if their malpractice insurance rates have gone down! Then look at the bottom line for Illinois' insurance companies. It doesn't take an idiot to figure out that the Insurance companies were the big winners here and after his arrest yesterday and reading the complaints, you have to wonder what Blago did to negotiate with them for his help with that legislation? Something, was in it for him.
Every company he or his liasons have been dealing with need to be looked into. I mean...look at the hair-brained ideas he's been coming up with lately from selling (or leasing for 99 years) the Illinois Lottery, or selling the Illinois Tollway. Who would he get such ridiculous ideas from? Dick Daley immediately comes to mind, I mean after all, he groomed Blago to be his bag-boy in the capitol and then Rod went and got all greedy on him. Don't you wonder now, why Blago refused to give Daley a casino in Chicago???
Was Dick not offering him enough of the cut?
The "pro-illegal immigration" organization http://icirr.org" target="_blank">ICIRR (Illinois Coalition for Refugee and Immigrants Rights) got millions of dollars a year and their main purpose was clearly, to promote the Democratic idiolgy like Congressman Luis Gutiurez's and the governor's far left belief's for legalizing the undocumented people in the state with the hope of turning them into legal voters.
Illinois politics suck, and have for a long time.
After watching Jesse Jackson Jr. on TV tonight vehemently denying offering anything to Blago, you just have to know that in the coming days it's going to be spelled out for us that he was indeed, involved up to his ears! Deny, Deny, Deny!!! The Democtratic motto!
I can hardly wait to wake up tomorrow and see what new "news" is out there because this is really opening the Pandora's Box of Illinois politics and it's needed to be opened for years.
Also just FYI, the Dems have also used the "funny name" marketing ploy in the election of several key political seats in the state, including Alexi what's his name and our new President-Elect. I think we need to start looking a Smith's and Jone's this time around, huh??

Blago thought he was untouchable because Daley's been telling him he's untouchable.
Blago is an idiot and has always been. This shows you the power of the Democratic Party of Chicago because it is them, and them alone who got him re-elected over and over again!
Daley has to be doubling up on his blood-pressure medication right now because as much as people think that this investigation is already AT the top of the political food chain, when we all know, that DALEY is the real TOP and THAT is where this is headed.

Jeff Goldblatt did a lead-in to a story tonight about illegal aliens and how easy it MIGHT be for them to vote in the upcoming elections. With over 20 million illegal aliens in this country, if even a small double digit percentage of these scabs vote in this election, it could change the course of history......which, believe me.......is the purpose.
Democratic organizations like the HDO (Hispanic Democratic Organization) of Chicago already has a cloud of controversey around it, and the Illinois Coalition of Immigrant and Refugee Rights (ICIRR), is the other long arm of the Dems. They're leader does whatever Congressman Luis Gutierrez (who is now under federal investigation) asks them to do for "The Party". They both get MILLIONS of dollars every year from Chicago and the State of Illinois and their main purpose, is to alter the outcome of elections by registering so many illegal aliens to vote, it's impossible to keep track of them. And if they start checking, they'll find that 75% of the false registrations are Hispanics. If they start checking Hispanic registrations however, these organizations will scream "Profiling". They have they collectiveasses covered.
If Jeff's story reveals what it should.......then the election polls in and around Chicago and the rest of the country should have ICE agents randomly roaming voting locations.
The ICIRR claims to have registered 10's of thousands of "immigrant" voters asking only for ID's like a library card or a checking account. Click here to see their criteria to register aliens.
Go to any TCF Bank or Bank of America and if you're Hispanic, you can open a checking account with minimal information. If you're a white or black english speaking American, you will need to provide a SS# for a credit check.
Utility companies will provide services for "Felix the Cat" if he puts up a security deposit. Providing a utility bill for identification is laughable!
If this story is done right, I commend Jeff Goldblatt for running with it but I somehow know that FOX will find a way to "debunk" these facts in an attempt to put the voters minds at ease.

PHOENIX -- A suspected drunken driver who smashed into a police squad car and killed the 25-year-old officer early Saturday has an extensive criminal history, beyond being an illegal immigrant, court documents showed.
Police arrested Salvador Vivas-Diaz, 50, an illegal immigrant with a history of alcohol abuse and skirting the law, in connection with the death of Shane Figueroa, who had served less than three years as a Phoenix police officer.
Vivas-Diaz had four outstanding counts of driving under the influence, a suspended driver's license, charges of forgery for providing false documents and failure to appear in court.
CBS 5 News attempted to stop by Vivas-Diaz's Phoenix home to get reaction from family members, but no one answered the door.
His next-door neighbor, Henry Esparza, said Vivas-Diaz had a serious drinking problem that got out of control. A few months ago, Esparza said he reached out to help get Vivas-Diaz to stop drinking.
"He can't hardly breathe, shakes a lot, sweats a bit," Esparza said.
Investigators on the scene of Saturday's crash said Vivas-Diaz showed all the signs of a drunken driver. Police said he had bloodshot watery eyes, a strong odor of alcoholic beverage, poor balance and slurred speech.
After the accident, a witness saw Vivas-Diaz "getting off the seat of his vehicle and urinating on the roadway next to the truck," according to court paperwork.
When questioned, court records show Vivas-Diaz provided officers a false name, a fake ID and he appeared to have numerous outstanding warrants.
Vivas-Diaz had been deported to Mexico at least four times, and each time he came back across the border.
Police said at the time of his arrest, Vivas-Diaz was carrying two fake Mexican ID cards and initially gave officers a fake name at the accident scene at 19th Avenue and West Roeser Road.
It was only after police fingerprinted Vivas-Diaz and his outstanding warrants popped up that authorities figured out who he really was, according to court documents.
Vivas-Diaz was booked on one count of manslaughter, one count of assault, one count of obstructing a crime investigation and two counts of forgery.
Figueroa is survived by his wife, a 3-month-old baby and an extended family.

These stories get more and more ridiculous with every one that airs, but I'm sure there's those gullible idiots who believe Lilia word for word of what she says when telling "half-truths".
Lilia Interviewed some moron last night who said something to the effect of "our families come from repressed lands in central and south America with histories of dictatorships to the US, to be free".
We have laws in this country that pertain to all people here. When you come here illegally, that does not "exempt" you from the law. That does not give you special privileges. They should be packing these scabs into buses 400 at a time and dumping them across the border with a warning: "Come back and we'll send your asses to Russia!"
Also Lilia, no one is kept in any ICE Detention center overnight, but you knew that, didnt you. Lilia's story was deliberately misleading and she at one point outright lied. These people were protesting a facility and no one was even home. lol!
The people lost in the Cook County system are people who have half-witted pro-bono immigration attorneys who are trying to get them out on technicalities, but who should rightfully be put on a plane back to where they came from. Of COURSE Cook County will blame ICE. That's what YOU wanted them to do! Also, these people don't want to be separated from their families? PUT THEIR FAMILIES ON THE PLANES WITH THEM!
This gross misinterpretation of the 14th Amendment which seems to be their last leg to stand on, is also getting old but then this is the "LaRaza Plan", isn't it Lilia? The closer to election we get, the more noise (even when they're outright lies), FOX Chicago will make, right?

One simple statement after listening to the media cry "another teen shot" seemingly every other day...
AT WHAT POINT, DO WE STARTING CALLING THIS A "POLICE PROBLEM"? YOU CAN'T TURN YOUR HEAD TO ONE SET OF CRIMINALS (Illegal aliens), MANY OF WHOM ARE THE GANG-BANGERS DOING THE SHOOTING, AND SCREAM AT THE SAME TIME IN DISGUST!!!

My wife and I were driving to my mothers house to visit, by O'Hare Airport at about 11:15am on Christmas Eve, when we were passed on the right, by a silver Ford Focus with an Illinois Senate license plate number 22. We were moving with traffic when this car repeatedly kept passing us at a high rate of speed, weaving through traffic like a maniac. It was a woman driving, holding a cup of coffee, talking on her cell-phone and she had a small child in the back seat in a car-seat.
I called Illinois State Police District 15, and the operator simply said "ok sir, we'll let our officers up ahead know". This........ was as we passed under Rt. 53.
Traffic opened up and as we passed the Des Plaines Oasis east-bound (not a trooper in sight..), here she comes again only this time, with wide open road in front of her she just floored it as she went past us. she had to be doing 85-90. She exited at the O'Hare Airport exit.
A cup of coffee, a cell phone, a small child in a car seat in the back seat and driving like a complete moron. It's ok though.....because she must have been royalty with that license plate. Traffic laws are only for us paupers.
This is a story that is so ridiculous, I can't believe it's not garnering national attention.
a 49 yr. old grandmother Jean Johnson, happened to be in the same federal courtroom as pedophile R. Kelly last week, snapped a cellphone picture of the rapper/child molester as he sat there waiting to go before the judge, and for that, she received 5 days in jail. She described herself has his "biggest fan".
Johnson pleaded guilty Monday to contempt of court and
was sentenced to five days in jail. Judge Vincent Gaughan (GAWN) gave
her credit for the days she'd already spent in custody and she was
released.
He also ordered her cell phone destroyed.
What a load of crap! Elvira Arellano directly defied a judges order to leave the country, and when she's caught, she's simply deported....
R.Kelly defies a judges order to show up for court, and makes an ass out of the judge issueing that order, and he gets a new court date.

Last few times I had to go to a courtroom in a Cook County Jail, they about strip-searched me looking for something that was setting off the metal detectors. Turned out to be a stud in my jeans. (my wife laughed at that.... ;-)
This woman not only got her phone into the courtroom, but took a picture of someone and only got caught because it surfaced with the media. Makes security look pretty stupid down there if you ask me, not to mention the judge (Judge Vincent Gaughan) who sentenced her! Where is Jesse Jackson, and Al Sharpton on this case??? They should be protesting with the masses in front of 26th and California....
