You lucky lucky girl!! Every time the air show comes to town, some lucky media or sports folks always get to fly in the backseat of the Blue Angels, Thunderbirds, LimaLima, etc. I wrote letters, begged, rationalized and tried to coax the Air Force to take me up sometime. Being an educator for 30 years, I tried to convince them how many kids I could reach back in the classroom with that action packed video and experience. But unfortunately, they continued to say 'no. At many other locations (not Chicago, thank goodness) they continue to choose country music stars, stock car drivers, or celebrities of some sort. That's a sad commentary on America.
Hope you enjoyed the flight. More photos please and big story with it!

Hey Sad:
Hope you and the kids can access the story that ran Thursday night...it had interviews with pilots, including the top gun flying the new F-22 Raptor. No ride-alongs on that one.
Regards, Lilia

Forget the planes.
Forget the pilots.
Forget the thrill.
Forget them joys.

I'll forget my wife.
I'll forget my job.
I'll forget the dog.
I'll forget my job.

Care to run away to a Caribbean Island, where we'll buy a coconut tree (after it's paid for, any coconuts that fall off is pure profit) and then lie under that tree on a hot sun drenched white sand beach, soaked in a dark tanning oil, drinking mai tai's, eating fresh lobster caught by our own hands and admission, and watching the red deep sunsets? We could go hand in hand on a slow stroll down the deserted beach, kicking waves of bluish water at each other, while allowing the sun to fill out bodies with the ever much desired Vitamin D. Ahhhhhh, such a life, eh?

Okay, back to reality. You're still cuter than a bug, prettier than honey, built like a brick......well, you're in great shape, and a smile that would make a nudist blush.

I'm not a nudist and I am blushing.

I'm a long-time reporter at Fox News with more than 25 years of journalism experience. In the course of my travails and travels I have worked in wires, newspapers and television, in Chicago and Albuquerque. Probably the most important lesson in all this a healthy respect for the great many ways there are to live life on our round planet...the second most important lesson is never wear high heels to a gang war. That's the thing about chasing news for a living...sometimes you have to run!
