A Flash Flood Watch remains in effect across Chicagoland until tomorrow morning.
Heavy rain and potentially severe storms are expected tonight as another wave of this potent spring storm arrives.
Rain totals are up to 1" across the area and additional rainfall could be 1" to 2" creating quick flooding situations in low lying areas, near creeks and streams and other flood prone areas.
Minor to Moderate River Flooding is expected for the Des Plaines River, Fox, and the Kankakee River -- the levels will gradually rise over the weekend peaking Saturday.
Tomorrow, a final piece of the storm is is a cold front that will feature falling temperatures and winds making it feel blustery. Once the cold front arrives, more rain and wet snow can be expected on Saturday. Sunday will be chilly as well.
The good news is that warmer weather returns early next week and the warmest day of the year is expected next Wednesday!
