There is an approval for money refund to be sent to all families "stimulus package 150 BILLION dollars", however there is no option to decline this "refund". What I am trying to say is who's economy we are trying to jump start if we will start buying foreign stuff with our tax money? Maybe better live in the budget? Why would we give that money to foreign countries if they have surplus already and we are the one with deficit?

Aleks, you are exactly right in saying whose economy we are trying to jump start. Today there is hardly anything manufactured in the U.S.A., this morning I went grocery shopping and I noticed on a package of Safeguard hand soap made by Procter & Gamble " Made in Mexico " isn't anything made in the U.S.A. any more ? I really appreciated when Bill ( I didn't have SEX with that Woman ) Clinton signed N.A.F.T.A. into law it really SUCKED the factories out of America to mexico for that CHEAP LABOR, about 80 cents per hour thats all they make. Gee, thanks a lot Bill. Alek the next time you go to Sears look at the wash machines, the dryers, the stoves and the refrigerators. You will find out they are all made where else, mexico. And those once good jobs will never come back to America unless you find some people to work for 80 cents an hour like in mexico. Oh yeah I almost forgot about the jobs that go to china, they make a whopping 36 cents an hour, so you know those jobs will never come back to America. I want to thank all the TRAITORS I mean politicians for doing this to the AMERICAN CITIZENS. The only thing I suggest is try to buy MADE in AMERICA products. Look at everything you buy and make sure it is " MADE in AMERICA ". Proctor & Gamble used to be on North Ave. where Home Depot is at now just east of the Kennedy Expressway. Now Home Depot sells more crap from China and mexico, even the nails are from china. So everybody out there PLEASE buy AMERICAN MADE products, keep our Citizens and factories working.

You said "And those once good jobs will never come back to America unless you find some people to work for 80 cents an hour like in mexico"
There is also another view to this - if we, as americans, will not put pride above pricing, our jobs will be going overseas. Check Chrysler intentions about building cars in China and bring them here, trying to sell them cheap to very people they let go earlier. Check GM investing number of BILLIONS of dollars in China and possibly start bringing some of them here.
I checked what I can buy that is made in USA or at least some allies such as Germans or Japanese, oh well, not much. Why I mentioned Germans and Japanese? they do invest in our economy, BMW and Mercedes plants, VW is looking to open one here, Japanese Toyota, Mitsubishi and Honda are here. How many exactly chinese companies we have here that employ thousands of people?

Hey Aleks, Volkswagon used to be built in America before. They were in Hurricane, West Virginia I used to haul steel there, out of the mills in Gary, Indiana. VW was just north of Interstate 64, they closed up and moved to mexico and are still there. About a month ago I saw on a cable channel that KIA is building a plant just south of SanDiego in sunny Tijuana. I would never buy a Jap car cause my Dad and his 4 brothers were all Marines and fought the Japs all over the Pacific and my Father-in-law and his brothers also Marines fought the Germans in the western theater in Europe. I do have Pride and a lot of history of what my Father, my Uncles and my Father-in-law have done. You called them our allies, these are the same counties America fought in WW I. In WW II these so called allies killed almost 500,000 of our troops not to mention 6,000,000 Jews kiled by the Germans.

Do he people who own Sears work for .80 an hour? devildog67 & Aleks, Sears was originally incorporated as Sears & Roebuck. Roebuck was a black man. When the company became very successful and Roebuck became too ill to stay actively involved in day-to-day operations, Sears cheated him by pretending to buy him out with a paltry sum less than 1/4 of what the real value his half of the company was worth. This is a surprise to you, they kept the name Roebuck to keep blacks as customers, evidently whites weren't patronizing them enough. That shows youi this country was integrated, then segregated, and so on and so forth. Sears' owners are thieves, first Roebuck and then Americans and thentheir .80 an hour foreign employees. Everybody has been ripped off...

I am sorry, but Mr. Roebuck would be surprised very much to find out that he was black. Even extreme political correctness does not allow changing of people races. Please read
http://www.searsarchives.com/people/alvahroebuck.htm> And i am not sure what race has to do with my post?
Sears was an american company for a very long time, and lost mainly due to the cheap stuff and customers mentality, whether black or white: "buy garbage as long as it is cheap"

Race mentioned was to show Sears as a thief who claimed to cheat because of race, then when they could not blame race, he was exposed as just a thief. (In the early 70's, Sears announced they were dropping the name Roebuck because of white's disapproval of shopping from a retailer that was partially owned by a black, remember, one ounce of black blood makes one black 100%).Sears's merchandise was of good quality back in the day - now coming out of China, of course, it's garbage. The refund is supposed to go to poor people, poor people are usually minorities, blacks, Hispanics, etc. The commerical saying "look for the union label" is still fresh in my mind, you are probably not old enough to remember the commercials encouraging Americans to buy American,or look for the union label - which meant American-made and I try to buy American and have resisted telling friends and business owners to outsource when looking for a supplier for their businesses. SCORE advises people to outsource when seeking a supplier-which means foreign. The question is not whose economy are they jumpstarting, but why are they refunding money to minorities?
